Day 01

Arrival and Night in Ahmedabad

On your arrival in Ahmedabad, you will be received by a Discovery Prime Tours representative who will assist you to your hotel. Check in and settle down in your room, after which our representative will brief you about the journey ahead.

The evening you are free to go for a walk nearby at Manek Chowk (a 5-minute walk from most old city hotels). This square transforms - daytime it's a vegetable market, 8 PM onwards, it becomes a street food zone. Try dabeli, pineapple sandwich (trust us, it's great), and jamun shots. Come back to the hotel. Overnight in Ahmedabad.

Day 02

Ahmedabad Day tour

Sightseeing | Temple & Mosques | Sabarmati Ashram

Wake up at 6 and have your breakfast. At 7:45, go for the heritage walk organised by the Municipal Corporation of Ahmedabad.

In this 2-3 hour walk, our guide will take you to explore places like:

  • Swaminarayan Temple
  • Mahurat Pol
  • Rani no Hajiro
  • Jumma Masjid

Come back for lunch. In the late afternoon, visit the white marbled Hathee Singh Jain Temple. In the evening, visit the Sabarmati Ashram where Gandhi lived. See his living quarters, original spinning wheel (charkha), and letters he wrote to the British. An overnight stay will remain scheduled in the hotel.

Day 03

Ahmedabad – Modhera – Patan- Ahmedabad

Modhera | UNESCO Site | Patola Sarees | Riverfront

After breakfast, drive 106 km towards Modhera. Visit the Modhera Sun Temple dedicated to the sun god. Set along the backdrop of the river Pushpavati, this monument proudly presents the architectural richness of the ancient Solanki dynasty.

From there, drive 50 km to Patan. Lunch at a local dhaba - try Gujarati kadhi-khichdi or undhiyu (winter vegetable mix). Visit Rani ki Vav - one of Gujarat’s finest stepwells (also a UNESCO heritage site). Nearby Patan Patola House, where you can watch weavers make Patola sarees.

Return to Ahmedabad by evening. Spend the rest of your time exploring the city or relaxing near the Sabarmati Riverfront. Overnight in Ahmedabad.

Day 04

Ahmedabad to Wankaner

Drive to Wankaner | Heritage Palace Stay | Pottery & Craft

After the morning breakfast, check out from your hotel and continue the journey towards the next destination, Wankaner. On arrival, check in to the heritage hotel, which was earlier a palace belonging to the royal family of Wankaner.

Freshen up and visit the Ranjit Vilas Palace, Royal Oasis and various other temples. See the vintage car collection, royal durbar hall, and marble staircases. Walk around Wankaner town - known for bell metal crafts and pottery. Overnight stay at Wankaner.

Day 05

Wankaner to Bhuj

Gandhidham Enroute | Temple Visit | Bhuj Arrival

Start the day with a delicious breakfast and pack your bags for Bhuj. Enroute visit Gandhidham. There, visit the ancient Bhadreshwar temple, which has a huge idol of Lord Shiva. Another attraction is Purneshwer Temple. On arrival in Bhuj, check in to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 06

Bhuj to Mandvi Day Trip

Palace & Museum | Mandvi Beach Town | Water sports

Morning, take breakfast and visit:

  • Vijay Vilas Palace
  • Aina Mahal
  • Hira Mahal
  • Prag Mahal
  • Kachh museum

Now, drive to Mandvi. Walk the beach, enjoy the open shoreline. Here you can take part in water activities like skiing, water surfing, scooting, speed boating, and para-sailing. Drive back to Bhuj in the evening. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 07

Bhuj Villages Day Trip

Safari | Tribal Lifestyle | Banni Area Villages

Start the day with breakfast in the hotel, and then take a jeep safari to the Bani area of tribal villages. This will be a great opportunity to explore the mud houses, food, clothes, and lifestyle of Indian tribals. Return to Bhuj by evening. Overnight in Bhuj.

Day 08

Bhuj to Jamnagar

Museum & Lake visit | Hanuman Temple | Market Shopping

After breakfast, start your journey to Jamnagar, known for the largest oil refinery in northwest India. On arrival, check in at the hotel and freshen up. Have lunch in the afternoon and visit Lakhota Lake and Lakhota Museum. Walk around Ranmal Lake - a bird sanctuary where flamingos come in winter.

In the evening, seek blessings at the Bala Hanuman Temple. From there, take a walk through Jamnagar's market - see brassware shops, traditional tie-dye bandhani fabric shops. Overnight stay in Jamnagar.

Day 09

Jamnagar to Dwarka & Back

Dwarkadhish Temple | Rukmini Devi Temple

Post breakfast, get ready to drive to Dwarka…one of the four Char Dham pilgrimage sites, also one of the seven ancient Moksha-puris.

Check in to the hotel and then visit the Dwarkadhish temple of Lord Krishna. The experience here is spiritual but grounded - temples, sea breeze, and long pauses. From there, visit Rukmini Devi Temple, which is just 2 kms away. After visiting both the temples, spend some time on the attractive beaches. Drive back to Jamnagar for an overnight stay.

Day 10

Jamnagar to Sasan Gir via Junagarh

Hill Base | Fort & Stepwell | Girnar

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive towards Sasan Gir. Stop at Junagadh enroute. The main attractions are Upperkot Fort, Adi Kadi Vav step well, and Mahabat Maqbara.

Later in the afternoon, visit Mount Girnar, a Jain pilgrimage site with 16 Jain temples. If you're up for it, the climb is about thousands of steps. We skip the full climb and just see the base temples. Then continue your drive towards Sasan Gir. Check in to the jungle resort and rest. Stay overnight in Sasan Gir.

Day 11

Sasan Gir

Lion Territory | Wildlife Spotting | Forest Trails

Wake up early and head out for a morning jeep safari in Gir National Park - the only place in the world with Asiatic lions. After a tiring day in the jungle, relax in the jungle lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 12

Gir to Palitana via Bhavnagar

Temple Hill | Marble Shrines | Jain Pilgrimage

In the early morning, start the day with an early breakfast. Then drive to Bhavnagar. Enroute take a break at Palitana to climb Shatrunjaya Hill and visit its Jain temple complex. Descend before sunset when temples close. Reach Bhavnagar by evening and rest.

Day 13

Bhavnagar to Rajkot

Temples | Gandhi Smriti | Watson Museum

After breakfast, visit Gandhi Smriti. It has a library, museum, and gallery dedicated to the Father of the Nation. The next spot is beautiful Guru Shankar Lake. Visit Takhteshwar Temple and the lock gate before driving to Rajkot.

Check in and start exploring the city by visiting the Watson Museum and the Swaminarayan Temple. Stay overnight in Rajkot.

Day 14

Rajkot to Mumbai

Airport | Departure | Last Day

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and reach the airport to board your flight for Mumbai (or any other place). The tour ends, but Gujarat memories stay with you.
