Day Wise Itinerary
Arrival Journey to Gangtok
Gangtok Sightseeing Tour
In the morning, have your delicious breakfast and get ready for the sightseeing tour. We will cover monasteries and museums mainly. Top visits cover:
- Rumtek Monastery
- Do Droul Chorthen
- Namgyal Institute of Tibetology
- Enchey Monastery.
Come back to the hotel in the evening & rest. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir
After breakfast, leave early for the drive to the frozen Tsomgo Lake. Continue to Baba Mandir at the India-China border at 13000+ feet. This is a shrine maintained by the Indian Army honoring soldier Harbhajan Singh. This will consume the whole day, so in the evening you can explore MG Marg. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
[NOTE: In case Tsomgo Lake is closed due to weather or landslides, alternate sightseeing will be arranged by the team.]
Gangtok to Pelling via Ravangla
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Pelling. En route: Visit 130-feet tall statue at Buddha Park. Reaching Pelling, check in & relax. Overnight stay in Pelling.
Pelling Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Pelling.
Places covered:- Sanga Choeling Monastery
- Chenrezig Statue & Skywalk
- Khecheopalri Lake
- Pemayangtse Monastery
- Rabdentse Ruins
Return to the hotel by evening.
Pelling to Darjeeling
Darjeeling Last Day Departure
Wake up at 4 AM for the drive to Tiger Hill (subject to clear weather) to view the sunrise over mighty Kanchendzonga Peak (Third highest peak in the world). On the way back, visit Ghoom Monastery. We will stop for breakfast and then visit the following places:
- Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park
- Himalayan Mountaineering Institute
- Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda
Have lunch at the famous Glenary’s restaurant. Check out of the hotel and proceed on your return journey as per the flight/train schedules.
