When you arrive in Delhi, the centre of India, you will be welcomed by the kindness of Discovery Prime Tours. Then have a hearty breakfast and take on the varied fabric of Delhi. Old and New Delhi can be seen as a single entity when one traverses through the city, a city tour that is seamless. Start with Jama Masjid which is Asia’s biggest mosque and then proceed to Red Fort, a majestic relic of the magnificence of the Mughal Empire. Visit Chandni Chowk and walk on the silver street of Old Delhi or visit Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.
You will proceed to Akshar Dham, Birla Mandir, Humyun’s Tomb and Qutab minar. Pause and see the Bahai temple, which is an architectural wonder in the style of a lotus dedicated to India’s secularism. We had breakfast at the hotel and after that we left for Mandawa Town, which is also referred to as the open-air art gallery of Rajasthan. Mandawa has good frescos and you will get a chance to visit havelis which are painted beautifully on the ancient silk route. These architectural marvels crafted in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries by wealthy merchants transport you back into the past.

After breakfast, we proceeded to Bikaner – a city. Upon reaching, a visit to Fatehpur village, where havelis are very beautiful, will be made as people of this region live in havelis. The following afternoon you’ll arrive at Bikaner, and this is where the trail starts.
Visit the impregnable Junagarh Fort, which has refused capture throughout centuries. Walk through its different entrances with stories of their own. Subsequently, there is a Camel Breeding Farm that enables you to know how camels are bred and trained. A visit to the Deshnok Rat Temple, which is at night, is a very unusual experience.
Wake up early for a desert drive towards the magical town of Jaisalmer. Your first port of call is Mehrangarh Fort, a proud symbol of Jodhpur. Inside this historical site is a museum that has a spectacular assemblage of royal palanquin, arsenal, painting and costume. It has many palaces such as Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Takht Vilas, and Jhanki Mahal. Walking down from the fort, you’ll be able to witness a marble stone-temple shaped cenotaph known as Jaswand Thada in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II.
Umaid Bhawan Palace, also known as Chittar Palace, is a breathtaking edifice built without any application of mortar, with sandstone blocks chiselled and fitted together without joints. In the evening, you have an option of visiting the world’s renowned spice market and experiencing the taste of Indian spices. You will spend a night in a Jodhpur hotel.
It takes one hour to drive to Luni, a beautiful village that represents the royal heritage of the state. The artisans who still handcraft their ancestral work of metal, clay, and wood into exquisite details are nestled by the river Luni. In particular, a notable relic of the skill is at Luni known as Fort Chanwa with its red sandstone from Jodhpur. A complex of courtyards, towers, fountains, stables, passages, and hidden pavilions in the fortress. These wall paintings are the works of gifted skilled masters and the wealth of past epochs. Luni hotel is where you will spend your overnight stay.
Following an appetising breakfast, you will then proceed to Udaipur. A trip that also entails a stopover in Ranakpur (the name that is synonymous with Rana Kumbha) famous for magnificent Jina Temple. Four images of Adinath are kept in the main temple known as ‘Chamukh’ where there are twenty-nine halls with a total number of one thousand four hundred and forty-four pillars each having its own unique carving. Arrive in Udaipur in the afternoon, take up lodging in a hotel. Finally, visit Sahelion ki Bari, a garden complex with fountains and lakes made by Maharana Sangram Singh for his loving daughter. You are thus free for leisure in this wonderful city during the night.
Proceed for a city tour of Udaipur after a nice breakfast. Go see the magnificent City Palace, Jagdish temple where Lord Vishnu is worshipped and the colourful Folk Art Museum with its collection of puppets, musical instruments and paintings.
In the evening, visit the splendid Lake Palaces of Udaipur by boat at Lake Pichola. You won’t be able to stop yourself from getting charmed by the Jag Mandir Palace and the Taj Lake Palace (formerly known as Jag Niwas Palace).
Following breakfast, you proceed with your drive trip to Bundi. On the way, you’ll visit Chittorgarh town which sits on a 180 metres high mountain and is guarded by an impressive Chittorgarh fort. Go to the Rani Padmini Palace and the famed Vijay Stambh or “the Victory Tower”, Kirti Stambh. Thereafter, you’ll move to Bundi and check in at your hotel. In Bundi, you will spend the rest of the day doing what you like, and will have an overnight stay there.
In the morning Bundi is visited, in which there is a visit to Taragarh Fort built in 1354. Standing at the top of a hill, the huge gate leads you back in time. These will include famous cannons set on the biggest battlements namely at Bhim Burj where one will get a sweeping view of the surrounding. Subsequently, the tour heads for Jaipur also known as the “Pink City ''. The afternoon session has sight-seeing in place with the City Palace for the former ruler's visit, Jantar Mantar observatory and Birla temple. It is up to you to enjoy the evening.
Jaipur has a full day ahead for exploration. Begin your safari by visiting Amber Fort where you can ride a painted elephant up a hill for a king-like experience. Meander about the Sheesh Mahal, aka Hall of Mirrors with inlays of gold glitter. The palace will have Diwan-e-Aam which is referred to as the Hall of public audience, Diwan-e-Khas which means private audience and Sukh Naivas an area where cool breezes blow. Stop at Maota Lake and have a good glance of the beautiful Jal Mahal which is known as the “Water Palace”.
The facade of Hawa Mahal, the “Palace of Winds”, is decorated with pink windows and delicate screens with filigree. After lunch, go to the “Monkey Temple” and the Galta Sun Temple, a marvellous place in the midst of mountains. Wind down your day with a Bollywood movie at “Rajmandir,” India’s second best cinema in Asia. Later, have dinner with Rajasthani women singing folk songs and dancing.
In the morning take it leisurely and drive to Agra, home of the Taj Mahal. On your way of this Rajasthan tour package, stop by Bharatpur, Keoladeo national park which is an ornithological reserve. Post lunch take Fatehpur Sikri, the “phantom city” which was constructed by Akbar in the latter 16th century to serve his imperial city but it turned out to be a myth as the place lacked enough water supply and was therefore abandoned after some fourteen years Red sandstone was used to build the city which is practically whole with amazing architectural masterpieces. The imposing fort of Agra made out of red sandstone and marble is your next stop to discover courtyards, fountains, and gates. See the unparalleled Taj Mahal, among the Seven Wonders of the World, at dawn. This magnificent monument was built by Shah Jahan as a remembrance of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Behold this dream in white marble and see that its proportions are perfect and that it is next to a garden of fountains on the banks of the Yamuna. On your way to Delhi, you can pass by Sikandra, Akbar’s final abode.
