Day Wise Itinerary
Arrival at Bagdogra Airport
Meet our local representative at Bagdogra Airport. Then drive to Kalimpong (approx. 3 hours). After arrival, check in to your hotel room. In the late afternoon, visit the MacFarlane Memorial Church. Evening free to rest or take a short walk near the hotel. Overnight stay at Kalimpong.
Kalimpong – Gangtok
Have breakfast in the morning and visit Flower Nurseries. These are family-run greenhouses with rare cacti, bonsai, and Himalayan plants. Leave from there and go to Zang-Dong monastery for peaceful & scenic vibes. You can do meditation here. After lunch in the afternoon transfer to Gangtok. Evening free to explore the town. Overnight in Gangtok
Gangtok Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, go out for sightseeing tour covering the following places:
- Rumtek Monastery
- Do Drul Chorten
- Institute of Tibetology*
- Handicraft & Handloom Directorate*
- Enchey Monastery
Evening free for café hopping or shopping in MG Market. Overnight in Gangtok
*Closed on weekends and government holidays.
Gangtok – Pelling
After breakfast, check out and drive to Pelling. The route goes through Ravangla with roadside views of Kanchenjunga mountains. Arrive at Pelling and check in to your hotel. In the evening, check out either of the two - Kanchenjunga Falls or Rimbi Waterfall. Then return to your hotel to stay overnight.
Pelling Sightseeing
Wake up early in the morning and drive 32 km to Khecheopalri mountain lake (1.5 hours) covered in the dense forest area. Myth has it that it is a wish-fulfilling lake. Return to Pelling for lunch. Afternoon visit Pemayangtse Monastery and Rabdentse Palace Ruins. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Pelling.
Pelling – Darjeeling
Breakfast and check out. Drive 75 km to Darjeeling - West Bengal's most famous hill station. The route drops to Teesta River valley then climbs to Darjeeling. Check in and relax. Then, in the evening , go for a walking tour of Mall road. From there, leave for Observatory hill. If time permits, seek shiva’s blessings at Mahakal Temple. Stay in Darjeeling.
Darjeeling
Wake up around 04:00am for a visit to Tiger Hills for a sunrise view. Watch dawn light hit Kanchenjunga's peak turning it orange-pink. On the way back, visit Ghoom Monastery.
After breakfast, visit to:
- Himalayan Mountaineering Institute
- Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park
- Tibetan Refugee Centre
- Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda
Take lunch at the famous Glenary's - bakery-restaurant on Mall Road. Evening is kept light on travel. You can ride the toy train if interested (book in advance) or walk through tea estates. Overnight in Darjeeling.
Note: Tiger Hill visit is subjected to availability of coupons, as only 600 vehicles are allowed in the morning. In case of non availability of coupons we will provide the Tiger Hill visit after breakfast.
Darjeeling – Bagdogra
Breakfast based on flight time. Then our driver will drop you to Bagdogra Airport 2-3 hours before the flight. Tour ends.
